The first and only time I had interviewed someone beforehand was my childhood and current friend, and it was an utter disaster. I had asked all the wrong questions and even framed the shot incorrectly. I was scarred from interviewing anyone for a long time, but when Terri came along I knew I had to get it right this time.

The benefits of working in a group are once again evident. whatever I do not how to do or can do so poorly , someone in the group can do a better job than me. While I did not a good previous experience with interviewing, being in a group gives me the confidence that we can do it.

The interview questions were easy to come up with but difficult to word correctly. Rohan helped us rephrase our questions to be more effective and elicit a stronger response from Terri. We discovered that ten questions would be optimal and the eighth questions should be the best question. Building up to the major questions is also important… we decided to start with some ‘warm up’ questions.

Collectively we decided that we did not know Terri well enough and that might be a hindrance to the interview we would be conducting on the Friday. Since we only have a forty five minute window in the morning of Friday to conduct the interview, we would have no time to make sure she is comfortable with us. I messaged Terri and with Meita, Joan and Arfi we met her for some coffee.

We got to know her more personally. We discovered that she is originally from lester in the UK and also a mother of two girls and grandmother. This informal meeting truly allowed us to bond and grow closer, which I think will definitely benefit us during the official interview. As we were drinking our coffee, (fyi and creepy side note, Terri likes long black coffee with one sugar) melbournce central decided to conduct a fake fire alarm and evacuate everyone. So we decided to venture into RMIT and show Terri our student lifestyle.

Meeting her was both fun and also easier for us to decide on the right interview questions. The questions we decided to ask are:

1# introduce yourself and talk me through your friday mornings at work

2# is it magical walking into the store every morning?

3# describe the store for someone who has never seen it before

4# tell me about the customers that come into the store

5# is it rewarding when families and children especially enjoy the candy?

6# what was your earliest memory of candy

7# what made you want to work at Lollie Lovers?

8# Some people have described you as the female willy wonka, can you tell me what you think about that ?

9# i note that you wear a lot of beautiful colours- is this something you do personally or have you since working here?
