Mount Macedon is one of my favourite places in Victoria. I go there whenever I am stressed or want to just escape from the suburbs. Last year I went around the perfect time to see the endless canola fields and fell in love instantly. So for my major photography assignment I wanted to capture a mix of natural light and a subject, the ideal place for that was obviously Macedon.
I joined my photographer friend on a maternity shoot she covered and she took me along to Forest Glade Gardens. Inspired by Japanese gardens, the gardens are surrounded by small statues, ponds and red bridges and walkways. After the shoot, I was inspired to shoot my own photos there.
I asked my friends to be my model and we all woke up extra early one morning to head out to Forest Glade. Since we were obviously on a low budget my other friend and I did my model friends hair and make up. Neither of us are talented or experienced in that area but we managed to do very well. We could not have asked for better weather which meant amazing results and the best natural lighting.
Heres the pdf of my final presentation…
