For our workshop this week I was unfortunately absent but I completed the task from home and thoroughly enjoyed watching my peers project brief 3.

Fiona McEwan

  • Her interview was put together very well, it was almost seamless. Fiona changed camera angles which also complemented the video. The audio was flawed in the sense that there was a general buzz sound in the background. Loved the topic and the general flow of the interview.

Grace Purnamasari

  • I found it very interesting that Grace created a bond with the viewer and interviewee without showing his face. I loved the use of camera angles and many shots in one frame. I felt as if the photos of the homeless people did not fit well with the video and the audio was a little bit glitchy as times. Overall, the topic and subject was very interesting.

Hazel Ilagan

  • Found footage was incorporated very well into the video. The music and footage set the scene and mood. Loved her editing style and the mix of voice over and other audio. I liked the change of music to match the tone and to signal the different parts of the video. I felt like some of the transitions were very abrupt and awkward. She could have used a tripod to stabilise the camera. The subject was very intriguing and overall a very fun and quirky production.
