The MC50 video camera was easy to operate and interview with.
In my group, consisting of myself, Chen Lin and Andrew, we were blindsided by some requirements of the exercise. We did not capture reaction shots of the interviewer, we used our time to focus on the interviewee . To make it back in time to class and capture more content, we ignored the simple requirements of the task ,such as reaction shots and action shots. Brian very kindly assisted us with the reaction shots, as he nodded his head in fake understanding as we recorded him against a white backdrop.
Lessons learnt
- Always read what the exercise requires
- Do not waste time with location, set up and go go go
- Plan how the interview will look (angles, close ups..) before hand
- Think of interview questions before pressing the record button
