If you were to ask me what my favourite holiday is, it’d definitely have to be Christmas. Not only because of the annual traditional Christmas celebrations, but I also have my own Christmas tradition; buying Starbucks’ Christmas special drink—the Toffee Nut Crunch Latte.
This collection of Starbucks drinks shows just how coffee has become an essential and habitual part of me and my parents’ everyday lives for a long time now. Moreover, the Christmas cup just gives the drink a whole different vibe and it gets me into the spirit of Christmas. There’s one design in particular that stood out to me.
Here, we can see the traditional Christmas colour, green, being incorporated with our country’s traditional patterns, and I thought that it added a nice touch. It’s just nice to see an American multinational company incorporating a country’s local patterns to customize their cup designs. It also draws our eyes towards the drink, making it stand out amongst the other two, even though it isn’t the one that’s closest to the camera.
Apparently, not all Starbucks branches in the city have caught up with the Christmas vibes yet, but we still decided to buy their coffee nonetheless. We don’t just drink it when we need to be energized anymore, maybe we’re so used to it that we’ve become immune to its effects. And honestly, this activity just gives me another excuse to splurge on coffee when we can just make it ourselves at home. But don’t get me wrong, I’m not mad about it.
