week 3 reading is about the variety of comics gap, which I never knew that they have names for it, they are:
- moment-to-moment
- action-to-action
- subject-to-subject
- scene-to-scene
- aspect-to-aspect
- non-sequitor (non-connection between panel)
and I noticed that each comic have a different gap depends on the genre of its comic, like in Japanese romance manga, most of the story use moment-to-moment or sometimes action-to-action. Well, not all the reader notices the gap between the panel, since the reader naturally understands what’s going on in that panel and the gap between the panel have significant rules for us to understand the whole story, as we somehow use our logic.
