Currently glued to my memory was when Adrian Miles mentioned quality over quantity. I must admit, i do succumb to the ‘quantity’ option as the idea of a 2000 or so word essay triggers my panic mode, causing me to type unconsciously (almost) until the word count is satisfactory. However, this talk about informal essays and the quality within them/direct arguments etc.. has made me want to ignore the word limit, and state my argument/key points despite how succinct the piece of writing may be.
