Following this week’s look at one shot film, the movie Birdman (2014) came to mind. While I am very aware that the film is not, in reality, shot in one shot but rather made to look that way, I still found it interesting the way they achieved this look despite having not actually done so.

The way the camera whips and whirls around corridors following people throughout the film really brought a new element to the piece. While, if I’m being honest, I didn’t actually notice the fact that the entire film was made to look as though it was one-shot, the second time I watched Birdman I really did appreciate the film more.
