S O U N D | Lectorial

In this week’s lectorial we heard from Kyla Brettle, who is a professional audio creator. She imparted some of her skills and wisdom upon us about multiple textures.

Personally, I have only ever particularly focused on video production throughout my media-making career (however short that really is), and as such, I feel as though I’ve left audio to be a secondary component of my pieces as I’ve concentrated on the visual aspects of my productions. One important thing I came away from this lectorial with was the importance of multiple textures in an audio piece.

One important thing I came away from this lectorial with was the importance of multiple textures in an audio piece. Going into project brief four, I’ve been quite daunted by the fact that I can’t rely on footage to somewhat make up for my lack of knowledge when it comes to sound, but after having listened to the advice of Kyla, I feel as though I’ve gathered enough knowledge in order to put some of my anxiety at ease and produce an interesting audio piece.
