Sony MC50 Camera and How to Survive Uni | Exercise

Today we were introduced to the cameras we would be using for out next assignment, Project Brief Three. In order to familiarise ourselves with the equipment, we were given an in-class task of shooting footage that we would all later individually edit ourselves in order to create a short ‘survival guide’ to University (video below).

There was some frustration within the group, trying to have everyone come together and create some sort of plan in order to make sure we got all the shots we needed for our video. Although, I guess this can simply be considered a learning curve and something to grow from- that different people mean you have to adapt to the way they work and vice versa in order to come together and create what you set out to.

This small exercise did help us all to really learn how to use the cameras- fiddling around with various modes and eventually consulting the guide when we could do quite what we wanted to.
