The RMIT Library is a communal space for people who are looking for a place to:
- do some traditional research
- study in a peaceful and quiet area amongst other students who are also in the same boat
- people who just want to unwind in a tranquil environment whilst they wait for their next tutorial
The library has much to offer when it comes to doing scholarly research. For example, there are some books. In fact, there are quite a lot of them.
Also featured in this archive are a wide variety of digital resources such as DVDs and audio books.
Like many archives, the content is arranged in a certain order so that they are fun and easy to locate. RMIT’s website also has a Library search for those who want to find digital versions of a certain text, or want the co-ordinates to locate a physical copy of a specific source. On top of that, archivists, or, librarians, make themselves available for any assistance needed.
The library consists of various mediums, some which people may consider to be ancient, and some which others may consider to be alien. And while different age groups may argue over which is better and more appropriate for a learning environment, both old media and new media go hand in hand.
