Media 1 Seminar 7

In our Media 1 seminar, we started off by watching everyone’s project briefs. I have to say, I was impressed at the work I’d seen from everyone else, so, kudos to all of you. But I’ll go into further detail about all the stuff in later blog posts, so that I can get my post count up.

But anyways, after a brief discussion about the reading for the week, we were split off into our groups for Project Brief 4A. I was put into a group of three, and we were given the topic of Mediums/Media Technologies. And while we were a little bit lost at first, we ended up drawing up a mind map to see how many directions we could take this assignment in. Not surprisingly, it worked! Off to a good start with our first team achievement. We found different areas we could focus on in that subject. It was interesting sharing our ideas because one of the topics we discussed was video games as a media. One of our group members didn’t really know much about the subject, but she was actually genuinely interested as we explained the whole industry that video gaming has become.

I’ll admit, before we were split up, I was worried that I would end up in a group that would be difficult to be productive in, but I’m happy where I am.
