Problem  1: Don’t you just hate it when the interviewee has joined their ‘ums’/’uhhs’ to the end of their previous word? I know it’s just a natural thing we do, but-aarrrgh, it’s just frustrating to work with. At least my subject didn’t really do it as much.

Problem 2: Having slightly broken ears isn’t the most beneficial thing when working on projects like this. For example, there are some things that my ears can’t pick up that Sony MC50 microphones can, like a crow yelling in the background of an interview.

Problem 3: Now that half of my interview footage is deemed unusable, I have to re-hire some equipment again and re-record half of this bloody interview.
