Friends for Dinner – Peter Castrisios, Alisha Bennett, Lucy Welsh, Jennifer Lee

‘A host invites four friends to a dinner party. One of the invites only knows the host and is anxious to meet their friends. These worries turn out to be based in fact when the other guests and the host decide to have them for dinner. Literally.’

Creating ‘Friends for Dinner’ was a thoughtful and ambitious process. We deeply connected storylines to the genre we were looking at of horror, comedy and thriller. Discussing themes of betrayal, social anxiety and classism, Friends for Dinner makes you see through the lens and emotions of Dave throughout the evening.

Each member of our team feels extremely pleased with our short film, though would have continued making this longer if possible. We learnt a lot about the ways to work on a film set, and co-ordination with the equipment. We also worked with cast members, strangers who became good friends. Besides the length it took to finish ‘Friends for Dinner’, we couldn’t be more proud.
