3 Strikes

In “Three Strikes’ ‘ a letter from LEVL agency triggers a high-stakes mission involving three contrasting characters: the nervous novice SPI, the enigmatic Lady Butterfly, and the authoritative Professor. The trio’s interactions oscillate between tense and humorous, the Professor’s urgency contrasts with Lady Butterfly’s nonchalance, while SPI’s anxiety adds a layer of comic relief. Through a series of split screens and dynamic cuts, the film builds suspense and intrigue, culminating in a pivotal meeting where the trio strategies over a crucial map, setting the stage for their mission’s next phase.

From the studio, I gained a deeper understanding of implementing symmetrical balance in film through formality, stability, and creating focal points. I learned how the arrangement of characters and objects within the frame can tell compelling visual stories. Working on “Three Strikes” taught me the importance of a consistent and meaningful colour palette to unify each scene and set the tone. I also developed my skills in editing, especially with complex sequences like split screens and dynamic cuts, enhancing the film’s suspense and narrative impact. Overall, this experience significantly improved my filmmaking and organisational abilities.
