The waiting room is the story of Tori, who has a nasty accident and dies in an abandoned prison where she is trapped in purgatory until someone can find her body. Without the ability to communicate with the living, Tori tries to scare local explorers towards her body through various booby traps and tricks. Tori begins to find regrets in her life as she eves drops on a group of sisters, who teach her the value of family something she will never get to experience.
This story started off as a pretty silly concept before I began to uncover a lot of themes and messages as the story came to life. This is a very unique style of piece for me as it is more down to earth and simple however I felt that I learnt a lot from writing a character-focused piece.
