As a member of the design team, my role focused heavily on the development of the logo and the website for the “And Scene Festival.” The logo was a crucial element in establishing our brand identity and solidifying our presence as a festival. Designed to reflect a projector, the logo incorporates lines and the color red to evoke the essence of cinema, creating an immediate visual connection to our theme. This choice was intentional, as the projection effect and the dominant red colour both symbolise the cinematic experience that lies at the heart of our festival.
With the logo finalised, it was essential to ensure thematic consistency on the website. The website design seamlessly follows the visual cues set by the logo, using the same colour palette and fonts to maintain a cohesive look and feel. The attached style guide includes all the visual elements, such as potential backgrounds and the specific colour palette, which were meticulously chosen to enhance the festival’s branding. The fonts, Agrandir Grand for headlines, Horizon for sub-headlines, and Active Heart for body text, were selected to complement the logo and ensure readability across all digital platforms. This alignment across our visual assets helped create a unified and professional image for the “And Scene Festival.”
In addition to these tasks, I worked collaboratively with the documentation team, utilising the images they captured for both the merchandise and throughout the website. These images played a significant role in bringing the festival’s atmosphere to life, offering a visual narrative that complemented our design elements. By integrating these photographs into our merchandise and website, we ensured that every aspect of our visual identity was cohesive and immersive, enhancing the overall experience for festival-goers and establishing a strong, memorable brand presence.
