Narrative: ‘Girlfriend’
In this story Zoe has recently broken up with her boyfriend/partner and her best friend Nina Invited her for a sleepover to comfort/distract her. As Zoe and Nina spend the night together, the short film delves into their close relationship. “Girlfriend” seeks to emphasise the significance of platonic intimacy while also acknowledging the complexity of human connections. It celebrates the beauty of female friendship and the fluidity of love, illustrating that genuine emotional bonds can transcend labels and societal norms.

Filming Process

Working on this edit series has helped me extend my knowledge as a media professional. I had the opportunity to collaborate with new people and create 3 distinctly different pieces, each demonstrating my ability to work with different styles and conveying a range different emotions. It has also made me more confident about using the editing software, Premier Pro and has taught me to use the software more efficiently. Overall this journey has made me step out of my comfort zone and has broadened my creative horizons.
