The edit series has three different styles of edits: 

The Narrative Edit: I used footage from Editfest 2021 to create a two-minute music video excerpt that displays a relationship falling apart in a non-linear timeline.

The Documentary Edit: Edited in the style of an Instagram Reel, this two-minute feel-good documentary is about the beauty industry and how eyelash extensions can be used as a confidence boost instead of just adding something fake to an appearance. 

The Commercial Edit: Compared to the documentary edit, this is more fast-paced and high energy to display the business ‘Extensions By Larissa’. It focuses on the personality of Larissa, edited in another Instagram Reel style to sell the services of this business.

From this work, I improved my editing skills focusing on differentiating between genre and editing styles for these edits to showcase how pace, tone and the way an edit is cut can change how the final product turns out to fit the criteria of an edit. Through experimentation in the editing process, I learnt many features of Premier Pro and how to produce my work to the best of my abilities.
