reflection:

At the start of this semester, I did not know what I want to get out of this studio. I just want basic stuff and at least make use of my mid skill. I just said that I want to improve every skill that I have and learn more about editing and shooting stuff.

I pretty much get what I want and more. I learn a lot more things than I expected. I did not know about labelling stuff before and shooting using a shot list. But I got those in this course. I practice my editing skill almost every week with the homework that Sebastian gives, and it helps me to understand more about Premier Pro and makes me more detailed in editing.

For the final project, I made my narrative edit to be more like a story with no dialogue. It was purposely for promoting an event that I am a part of. I shoot the whole thing and edit as well. For the documentary edit, I asked my father to do the doco. I asked him couple of questions about our family business back in Indonesia. And lastly the commercial edit. I use stock videos to edit all and use some text to make it more fun.

Over the semester, I learned a lot of things. I learn that story matters and editing is not always necessary. It is not meant to cut all story but to make it looks nice and appealing. I am definitely happy with what I have done and very satisfied with things I have learned in this course.
