“Greed” is a microfilm that combines elements of crime, mystery, thriller, and science fiction to explore the consequences of greed in the digital age. The narrative centered around Lena, a charismatic but morally compromised livestreamer, who discovers a mysterious delivery that grants her food wishes. As her greed intensifies, she continuously orders extravagant dishes, unaware of a hidden “poison” warning on the back of the note.

As Lena’s unrestrained desire for more intensifies, she becomes trapped in a vicious cycle, each order pushing her further down a treacherous path. Our movie ultimately serves as a cautionary mirror to the dangers of insatiable greed, a theme that is particularly poignant in our digital age, where instant gratification and unlimited desire are often just a click away. This cautionary narrative emphasizes the stark reality that unchecked greed can lead to its own destruction.

To breathe life into our story, we harnessed the power of immersive sound effects and Foley artistry, which allowed us to transport our viewers into Lena’s world and her increasingly perilous choices. Through the meticulous selection and editing of visuals, we sought to evoke a sense of urgency and suspense that mirrors the tension experienced by Lena as her greed spirals out of control. This comprehensive storytelling approach, integrating audio and visual elements, was crucial in reinforcing the narrative’s impact and message.

Our group’s collaboration was the bedrock of our film’s success. From the initial brainstorming sessions to the final editing stages, our teamwork was marked by a shared vision and a deep respect for each member’s contributions. We recognized that each team member brought a distinct skill set and perspective to the table whether in cinematography, sound design, directing or post-production and. We leveraged these differences to our advantage.
