This Is AIRE: Reveal

A threat is incoming, AIRE has spoken of her real intentions. Humanity was viewed as weak minded and fragile. Can Nikita combat this crisis, or will she give in to AIRE’s master manipulation? Are they all connected, what was the ‘greenland’, all that meditating, all those memory of her past, are they all false? Is Nikita the creation or the creator?

As modern people, we are often drowned by daily stressors from worrying about our rent paid to major stressors like losing loved ones and deaths. Nonetheless, we are consistently in a state of worry and unease, with the advancement of XR technology, the market has a range of virtual reality games and programs that enable us to relax and immerse ourselves in a ‘different’ universe for a bit as an escape to our stressful lives. 

Certainly, our lives could be improved as a result of relaxation and a break from the real world. In moderation, this technology can be an aid to our tired minds and restless bodies, however, if we don’t discipline ourselves and overly indulge in this technology, we might losses focus on what’s valuable around us, day by day. This is a message to praise how lucky we are to be existing in an era where we have the luxury to indulge in XR technology but also a reminder to seize the day while we still can.

Creating the sequel for my previous trailers all on my own has been challenging for me, especially when I want to create a coherent storyline to link up each film, however, I’m very happy with how it turns out as I made something that represents me as an individual and has a very special message to myself. The main idea of this film is to treasure what we have and grieve. To remind myself not to forget living while mourning my loss, not to hide and shove my emotions aside when I can find an escape, and in this film wise, it’ll be the VR world thats oh so dreamy and fit into what we discussed in class, about the pros and cons technology has been to the human society. I hope you all enjoyed my work as much as I did.
