This episode is the beginning of the story, which takes place during Lockdown, when a sudden change stops the characters at home. Esme (Sandra Chung) and Eduardo (Eric Chen) are on a FaceTime video call, but for some reason the call is interrupted.

The production of this episode sets the stage for both characters, as Esme’s physical discomfort and the interruption of Eduardo’s call blur the otherwise clear.

Scene 1 uses a screen recording to visually present the conversation between the two characters, while allowing the viewer to be immersed in the video call.
