The impact of AI and ADMI on the mental healthcare system

My project is centered around exploring the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and automated decision-making on the mental healthcare system. I’ve had a deep interest in this field and have wanted to delve deeper into it as I progressed through my studies. The ongoing mental health crisis has placed an enormous strain on the mental healthcare system, making it imperative to investigate how AI can contribute to its improvement.

AI has been harnessed to analyse patient data, resulting in more precise assessments of mental health conditions. Its analytics capabilities have enabled the prediction of relapses or crisis situations, thereby facilitating early intervention and prevention.

Throughout my project, I’ve addressed a multitude of ethical concerns and challenges, including the biases that can exist within AI algorithms. Additionally, the need for transparency is crucial. Ethical concerns surrounding this technology encompass issues like data privacy, consent, and the necessity for oversight in mental healthcare.

The process of this project allowed me to explore emerging trends in AI and automated decision-making, providing me with the opportunity to engage with professionals and discuss their studies, ongoing research, and potential breakthroughs in this field. The process I undertook was research-based, and I examined how the industry has significantly impacted society. By initiating the process of this video project in this manner, it established a baseline for how I wanted the project to be formatted and the types of questions I wanted to ask the expert.

In creating my project, I incorporated visuals, statistics, and interviews with an expert, ensuring that the video is engaging and informative. It was also important to me that the video maintains a respectful approach to the sensitivity of mental health issues while shedding light on the ways medical professionals are working diligently to find solutions to enhance the mental healthcare system.
