Legacies in the Garden

Legacies in the Garden by Edward Lee Hang from Media Factory on Vimeo.

Our perceptions of a garden and how to care for one, vary from person to person. How do the ways we care for our environments differentiate from the ways we care for ourselves?

I tried to make use of time and its effects on a site, particularly that of my uncle’s garden to investigate this. Using my own stories about gardens and their different views and ideas on growth and expectations, I believe I managed to tell a universal story of generational growth and its meanings.

Legacies in the Garden is a poetic work that uses personal oral histories and time-lapsed garden visuals to attempt to answer the question, how does listening challenge generational growth?
