TO BE AT SEA (TBAS) is a studio that explores the role of the site responsive media-making in uncertain times. Though the practice of listening and attunement we have focused on cultivating the skills and sensibilities required to produce time-based media that has cultural significance, ecological value and is sensitive to the sites in which it is interested.
The TBAS exhibition features soundwalks and audio-visual media works that respond to variety of sites including shopping centres, aqueducts, intergenerational gardens, heritage listed theatres, highways, bouldering gyms, sand gardens and rivers.
