‘Between worlds’ is a multi screen video art piece which encourages the viewer to sense fluidity between humans and the ocean.

In conjunction with the voiceovers, the different screens tell the story of how three individuals have formed their own unique relationship with the ocean and use it as a source of mental and physical well-being. 

This project has taught us how powerful GoPro footage is in crafting ecological intimacy, as it offers an underwater perspective that immerses the viewer in an oceanic experience. Through editing techniques such as slow motion and reverse speed, we have been able to create a slow and contemplative video which is hopefully soothing for the viewer. 

We intend to express the beauty of the ocean and the way in which humans are at the whim of its powerful and multifaceted nature.
