Our Aim:

My work “Dinner for One Less” tells the story of a single parent family who lost his father. The father died as a firefighter, so I added candles to express the memory of my family and reflect the element of fire. I focused the dialogue on Dinner time one evening, and the mother and son had a series of conversations. Through this short film, I want to call on the audience to pay attention to the children of single-parent families and the related problem of school bullying. They are vulnerable groups, but they are normal people just like us. I hope everyone can treat them as equals.

 

Our experience:

Liu Jiangcai’s performance was unexpected. Although the pronunciation was slightly flawed, we did a lot of work on the dialogue, and the final effect was good.
