Blade Runner 2049 Denis Villeneuve Science/ Action fiction
- The story of Blade Runner 2049 is setting in the future. Thus, they use the synthesizer to recreate some of the film scores. Besides, it is a film Sequels. Thus, it also considers the connection between the two films.
- Comparing with the previous one, the film score in this film is low-key. After watching the film, I cannot remember one of the songs. However, I can remember the emotion and the atmosphere of these songs. Moreover, that’s why I can remember these beautiful and great cinema graphics in the film, such as the grandiose structure and colorful images.

However, each note has been continued playing for a longer time than usual. Thus, the soundtrack sounds more futuristic. Moreover, the volume of film score played from high to low and add the effect of reverb. As a result, it sounds more dimensional.

The score of This film sounds solemnity and creepy. He is kinda like a Creator in this film. Besides, the company just like a temple. By research, they use various film score elements to achieve the effect, such as Gamelan film score, the bell, hieratic film score in Eastern Europe and Mongolia Khoomei. The audience won’t have the feeling that the guy is a bad guy when he first time shows up. However, they would think him as a creepy guy and they want to know him. It makes the character more interesting. I think it may because it doesn’t simply use the villain film score.

As my perspective, the film score is one of the significant reason. Even the fighting scene doesn’t have the rhythm sensation in normal films. Instead, it uses the peaceful and quiet melody.
