Iconography:

Refer to Glitch Art movies, I’d like to think about two films I watched before, Ghost in the Shell and Blade Runner 2049. There are various futuristic, industrialized and some Japanese style scenes in these kinds of films. Like a Mercedes as one of them. Besides, it shows some other elements of the Glitch Art, such as the effect of misplacement, noise, distortion, etc.

Creative mix/editing:

It is quite interesting that this music video also mixed the style of the arcade game in. The arcade game is an old fashion stuff. The background of this music video is about the future and VR. However, it works well. The mix with past and future is also used in image quality. T scenes of Lo-fi, DV and high quality are always switched.

The use of colors:

The tone of this video is dark. In addition, it uses lots of pink/red and blue to build the environment of the Glitch Art world. The light green color hair emerges the unreal nature with the girl, she is an AI instead of a person. 

Besides, music videos are different from films. Normally, it combines both the singer part and story part. This one uses the particular color of light to distinguish the singer’s part clearly from the story part. When the audience saw the dark pink color, they can easily know it is the singer’s part.

Additionally, it is obvious that this music video has various great transitions between shots. Firstly, the transition can match up with the music/ sound greatly. Every time the scene switched, the music/sound is just matching the tempo. Secondly, use the technic skills of filming and editing to show transition. For example, it uses a lot of zooming in, gabled effect and blur effect.

Moreover, the changing lighting in the music video makes it more pleasing for audiences.
