Every movie has their own style of filming. Different methods of shooting can create a style of a movie even a style of a director. Some of them are really attractive. One of the methods for the shooting is that it films details of the scene first then show the whole scene. In other words, we can do a close-up of several things at the beginning. After that, we can do a wide shot to do the normal shooting. The connections between shots may set the atmosphere, make audience be familiar with the scene and make the film more coherent. If we switch two connectional shots, there will be a better result. Additionally, we are supposed to find a common point to make a connection between different shots, such as color, shape, and structure. These common things also can make shots connect. Thus, I decided to have a try by using this method. I did a scene about fruits which will appear in the next scene. These shots about fruits are all from the same angle. These fruits were put in the bowl one by one. However, there is no manual movement in this scene. Static frames are the main way. Shots are connected by the change of fruits. Both same parts and different parts are showing at the same time in this scene. However, the final result is quite disappointing. It doesn’t look like a movie. Firstly, the angle is not well-prepared. Secondly, the light is quite hard to set. The direct light is the main light because there is no reflector. The shadow is always in the scene. Thus, I watch the scene twice to find the problem. I think I might misunderstanding the method at the first time. Focusing on only one detail is not advisable. I may shot one more time later to see how far I can achieve.
