As the development of internet, a fresh type of media has been created called self-media. Thus, there is a huge damage to traditional media. How can we solve the conflation between traditional media and self-media? Moreover, what are we supposed to understand self-media?

The competition of traditional media is about content and medium. However, the competition of self-media is about the personal style of expressing and the way media worker keeping popular. As internet get more popular, the traditional way of spreading content is getting unacceptable bit by bit. On the contrary, self-media has developed well. By social media, it more easy to be noticed. The content of self-media is always simple and clearly, which is fitting modern people’s favor. People can as their favor to choose the self-media which has the style they liked.

In fact, there is no conflict between traditional media and self-media. In my opinion, self-media is more like the production of traditional media’s development. As self-media, it still need the content of traditional media. However, it change the way of expressing and spreading to fit the modern society.
