In this week’s workshop session, we got into groups and shared our self portraits. Being the first time I was presenting my work to my peers in a uni setting, I was pretty nervous to share mine, but the feedback that I got was reassuring and helpful on how to improve and diversify my material in preparation for the next project.
I was also excited to see what others had collected. It was really interesting to the other people in my group’s representations of themselves, and I observed a lot about how their media items connected to their personalities and the way they expressed themselves. It was also really interesting to learn about their backstories, hobbies and general life.
In the workshop we also got the outline for Project Brief 2, and after getting inspiration from other people’s self portraits as well as reflecting on the feedback from mine, I am excited to go back out there, collect some new footage, and start in putting my media items all together.
