Taking a life drawing elective was a really cool experience. It was the second class of the semester, the model was standing on a table at the center of the room with students sitting around him in a circle drawing. Everyone was really focused, the only sound in the room was charcoal or pencil brushing on papers and people’s breathing. Some of them would use their hands to measure the head to body ratio of the model while drawing, making them look a lot more professional than the rest. The model changed a position every 10 mins, and after 3 positions, the students were allowed to take a rest and walk around the room to have a look at other’s drawings. The ones who drew really well always had the most viewers.
