The first clip is a static high angle shot from a long distance with a focal length of 12.5mm, focus of 30 inches and an aperture of f16.
I liked that there’s some plants at the foreground because it gives out a sense of relaxation and I think there’s something poetic about it when they’re blown by the breeze.
The second one is a closer shot at the same level with the subjects. I forgot to document the focal length and stuff but it must be of a longer focal length.
I chose this angle because it’s similar to the angle in the last one but since it’s eye level, it exhibits a different atmosphere.
I think it’s cool to have the table and chair at the foreground to emphasize the depth of field.
Between these two clips, i like the first one better for its more natural and has a better composition. It looks like a good opening shot before it’s cut to a much closer shot of the people for their conversations. The second one could serve the same purpose but there’s less information on the surroundings.
I don’t know if there’s a problem with the focus or something, but both of the clips look kind of blurry. The weird thing is, when i was filming, it looks perfectly focused from the viewfinder. I wonder if it’s something with the general lighting condition because it has happened to me before when i was filming on a cloudy day. I would really like to find out why so it doesn’t happen next time.
