Observational Writing 2

I went clubbing with my friends on Saturday. I spent 2 hours getting ready and they run out of patience eventually and started blowing up my phone. But as a nonchalant person, I couldn’t care less about it. I think there’s something about keeping people waiting that i found so delightful about. It’s probably because it made me feel extra important.

There was a long line waiting at the front gate of the club, it seemed funny to me because it made people look like they were livestocks. The security guys kept yelling at us like we could not understand any human language and pushed us to follow the line like we’re a bunch of goats. Clubbing, on some real senes, was as dehumanizing as going through a body check at a butcher factory without knowing that you’re in one. In other words, you’re willing to sacrifice your dignity as a human just to have some (average) fun.

Out of all the normality and abnormality that i had seen before, there were two girls that caught my attention and led me to think that they might just be the coolest people I had even seen. The two girls had SUNGLASSES on while dancing like they were the only people on the planet, holding each other tightly and bopping to the blasting remix that the Korean DJ – whom i was told that was really good – was playing for the 2nd time. The club was really dark and there’s only the disco lighting flashing dimly. With a pair of sunglasses, you’re basically experiencing what complete blindness feels like. But in my opinion, that was the coolest thing you could do in a club, because you genuinely do not give a damn.
