Observational Writing 1

When I was on my way to class, I was overwhelmed by how many people there were around the campus. I noticed there were new students who were very lost and couldn’t find the right building for their class and had to ask someone for directions. i was one of them two years ago today, I thought to myself. I remember i spent the longest time trying to find building 10 with a little map of the campus in my hand and eventually got there after asking for directions from three people. It was a hectic day.

When I got to the classroom, Robin was at the door to greet his students. I said hello. The class was quiet, the common type of silence on a first day of school in collage before everyone got to know one another. There’s a very vague embarrassment to it which almost always got me in a nervous state. Fortunately, my friend Liv was in the class so there was no awkward looking around and making eye contacts or forging a small smile to show that you’re friendly. I just walked through the classroom and sat next to my friend like a bad ass third year that I was.
