The only goal for me is to keep on doing what I’m doing. So I guess my aims would be:
- To put thinking into actions more often.
- To acquire more technical knowledge about filmmaking.
- To put the knowledge about lighting that I learned in FILM LIGHT into practice. Robin’s studio really changed that way I understand cinema. And now I consider lighting as the priority during pre-production and production. Sometimes people can’t be bothered to do lighting because it’s hard work and usually takes a long time to get the ideal look. But after FILM LIGHT I realized that lighting is the essential technique that makes films look like films.
- To develop my film scoring skills. I have great interests in the relationship between music and images and I think that’s big part of the reason why I love filmmaking. I think sometimes it’s not the visuals that create the other-worldly feelings, it’s the sound that really transcends the horizon of reality and takes the audience to a place where everything is foreign but feels like home.
- To enjoy the process of learning and making.
