Your writing is clear and concise and shows a confident writing style with excellent expression and grammar. It shows a depth of understanding that has come through reflection, deconstruction and potentially research. Writing distinguished by original thought, highly creative and innovative implementation, depth and clarity of documentation and/or discussion and an intelligent critical and/or creative engagement with the tasks.

32.0 to >28.0 Pts

DISTINCTION
Your writing is easy to understand and shows a reasonably good writing style with good expression and grammar. Good responses to prompts. Confident grammar and expression. Small amount of issues with elocution of ideas and ideas and expression. Excellent work, containing original ideas and creative or innovative implementation, a comprehensive grasp of the requirements and their expression, but marred by one or two minor problems.

28.0 to >24.0 Pts

CREDIT
Your writing is mostly clear with parts of it confused. Reasonable expression and grammar occasionally marred by errors. Good to very good work, displaying some original thought and creativity and/or innovation, but undermined by gaps in documenting or discussing what you have done and why, insufficient critical engagement with your ideas and work, or work that interprets the required tasks in an overly literal manner.

24.0 to >20.0 Pts

PASS
Your response may be too brief and the writing has many flaws in expression, spelling and grammar. While it is possible to understand your writing, you will need to take more care to resolve the expression, spelling and grammar in future assessments. Average work, displaying a basic grasp of the requirements, but with a range of more or less serious flaws, such as technical problems, a lack of communicative clarity, lack of appropriate and adequate documentation and discussion and poor reasoning.

20.0 to >0 Pts

FAIL
The writing is flawed by many problems with expression, spelling and grammar. It is unintelligible Fail, or NN grades are given to inadequate work. Some reasons for failing include where there is no evidence of any attempt to cover what is required, or the work simply demonstrates the task rather than interprets and engages with the task. Plagiarism can also be grounds for failure. DNS indicates that no work was submitted for the assessment task.

Your work demonstrates a high level of technical skill in all facets of the production including: audio, framing, focus, lighting, white balance and exposure Evidence of real experimentation related to the specific area of investigation The planning that includes shot planning, locations, casting, production design etc is of an excellent standard. The edits are well timed and reveal thoughtful selection of shots. The sourcing, layering and mixing of all audio is of a high quality. If applicable, the grading, titling and effects are well excellently executed. The work is compressed and embedded in your student blog to the specifications required

32.0 to >28.0 Pts

DISTINCTION
Your work demonstrates a high level of technical skill in most facets of the production including: audio, framing, focus, lighting, white balance and exposure Evidence of some experimentation related to the specific area of investigation The planning that includes shot planning, locations, casting, production design etc is of a good standard. The editing is confident with most shots adding meaning. The sourcing, layering and mixing of all audio is of a good quality. If applicable, the grading, titling and effects are suitable and effective. The work is compressed and embedded in your student blog to the specifications required

28.0 to >24.0 Pts

CREDIT
Your work shows a moderate level of technical skill in a few facets of the production including: audio, framing, focus, lighting, white balance and exposure There is little evidence of experimentation related to the specific area of investigation The planning that includes shot planning, locations, casting, production design etc is of a passable standard. The editing shows some thought but has many flaws. The sourcing, layering and mixing of all audio is just serviceable. If applicable, the grading, titling and effects are rushed and/or flawed. The work is compressed and embedded to your student blog but not all instructions have been followed.

24.0 to >20.0 Pts

PASS
Your work shows a low level of technical skill in a few facets of the production including: audio, framing, focus, lighting, white balance and exposure It is hard to see any experimentation related to the specific area of investigation The planning that includes shot planning, locations, casting, production design etc is virtually non existent. The editing is sloppy and flawed. The sourcing, layering and mixing of all audio shows little effort or time. If applicable, the grading, titling and effects are non existent or flawed. The work is compressed and embedded to your student blog but not all instructions have been followed.

FAIL
No work has been submitted. Or, it has but there is next to no care taken with any of the facets of production.
