I’ve been watching a lot of clips this week. Through these clips, we can see the elaborate design of the director. Some design behind the scenes. The director himself talks about how they set up the conversation. How to set everything up. How to place lights and cameras. How to design camera motion. And the scheduling of actors, how to get actors to have conversations with children. And the actions that occur during the conversation. All of these require careful planning before shooting. I really enjoy watching behind the scenes. Because it will bring us a lot of fun. It will also give us a lot of knowledge, as well as shooting methods and techniques that we have not thought of. These are novel ideas that I can use in my own movies in the future. In the future, when I shoot a movie or a video, I will have the whole plan in my head.
We saw two clips on Thursday. They are different dialogue scenes. Robin shows us how to do this. And asked a very thought-provoking question. The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum is a 1975 film. Robin asked us how old we felt when we watched the movie. For me, maybe I’ve watched too many Marvel movies. So I think the resolution of the movie and the different acting styles of the actors is what I think is an old movie. But I don’t feel that old. I think it’s more like the year of 2000’s movies. Have to sigh last century’s film is both classic and very modern. It makes me feel like it will never go out of style.
This week is our last week of class. Although there is not much talking in class, I enjoy the scenes in the cinema very much. Robin also gives us lessons very kindly. Thanks to Mr. Robin. I learned a lot from Robin’s patient explanations.
