In this week’s class, we first discussed the research project separately. In order to combine last week’s speech for better writing. I haven’t started my last assignment yet. So there was less discussion.
For my own, my topic is Nolan’s film Inception. Filming in reality and CG effects. The reason why I choose this one is that with the development of digital cinema and the wide application of special effects in today’s world, cinema has become less respected and less sacred. Especially the Chinese special effects. The special effects in Chinese films are very backward. First, China’s CG technology is not mature enough to be developed. One of the most important factors is that stars are paid too much. This has forced the cast to cut costs in various aspects. For example, no longer synchronous sound recording, and the use of post-dubbing. The reduction of light made the picture less perfect. Then there are the special effects, because the production of special effects is very expensive, and the actors’ high remuneration may make some crew can no longer afford the expensive special effects money, which makes the quality of the film decline.
And now the use of digital movie machines. It also makes the actors less professional, because a scene can be shot several times and then edited. The film era was taken very seriously, very seriously, because, by the time the film started, there was no going back. The film is very expensive so you have to make sure that you get out. All of them were more than 100 percent conscientious. Very few people today still use film machines, equipment for film films, and actual filming. The spirit of paying tribute to the movie makes people admire it very much. And he has great respect for movies. Because in the early years, movies were a very solemn and serious thing.
But I have to admit that both film and digital movies have their pros and cons. It’s not about who’s good and who’s bad. The most important thing is that as filmmakers, we have to respect movies and make good movies. Movies are not only a tool to make money, but also an artistic presentation. We want to give the audience perfect work.
