For this task, we are required syncing video and audio that we shot in class. Mr. Pual has given us different scripts for each group. We had chosen “Is it done” two-line script as the shot video. We need to follow everything on the call sheet. Everyone has their character and job to do, which is a nice way to be familiar with the early job in the crew. After the clip, we also learn how to marge clip and sync videos and sounds. The director wants to level up the camera to do a bird’s eye view. I don’t know why. But I don’t like bird eyes view while two characters talking face to face. It is so strange. I quite like a shot-reverse shot of two people talking. Correct eye level will let the audience get into the film. It is very important to show the cinematic look. I think we got lots of problems during filming. When I look at our footage. I found that the character is out of focus. The wide angle shot is too wide. The character is not clear. The good thing is the sound is so much better than videos. I know there is a software called: “PluralEyes” provide by “Red Giant”. It will automatedly sync video and sound. It will save much more time during post-production. But I followed the instruction to do the sync. I need to keep practicing myself. It is very useful for our final film making. I learn a lot during my class.
