To be honest, I don’t like Martin Parr’s color grading. I like more orange and teal look. But everyone has their hobbyhorse. I quite like Martin Parr’s ideas about present a photography. I was inspired by Martin Parr to take a like – objects collection.

I had chosen Telstra payphone as my topic of my collection. One reason is that there are lots of payphone existing in Melbourne CBD which are easily to capture. But I still drive to suburb to take a few photos of them. Another reason is that even there are so many in CBD, less people would use is. I want to show payphone which We are not realized some of the payphones. I believe that each photo can tell us a story. The first photo I had token on Swanston St. my aperture is f10, and Shutter speed is 1/20. I would like to make coming tram and people a little bit blur to show the movement. I also like second one. It is a cinema look photo that show us a lifestyle in Australia. I drive to Sandringham and Brighton to get a different look of payphone station. From my perspective, I took not only the payphone itself but also people and nature thing close to it. Such as, two handsome guys coming to me, a person with a luggage, a person with his dog and the sunshine coming through payphone station.

During the post production. I make the color of the photo more looks like Hollywood film. I think film look color is the best color to present a lifestyle story. I am very confident what I am doing during the photo taking and post production. But I still need to learn more and practice more.
