In the article, the writer expounds on the concept of immersive experience that arises from both music and video. The paper is also of great significance as it offers a theoretical underpinning of why most players in computer games report of losing the feeling of time passing. According to the author’s research, he concludes that immersion in games is really a subjective ordeal that is built inside the psyche of a player. Thus, it is not an extraordinary occurrence because it involves a player’s emotions andcontemplations being more engaged with the diversion from the game. The article has also been able to confirm on the critical role that music continues to play in setting the tone and also influencing the perception of a film, which has been reiterated by multiple researchers (Grimshaw, 2008; Wang & Sun, 2011). He quotes of how his friend managed to redub the music in a horror movie, and consequently transforming it to a comedy film. Consistent with the author’s opinion, I also believe that having a solid arrangement of sound in agaming setting is actually the main impetus.
