As a media student, I’ve thought what function of the media a lot of times. Obviously, media is a very important tool of communication,through which information is passed to even the farthest end of the world. They enable us to communicate with each other by helping us to overcome the barriers of time and apace. Media function in various ways. Below are listed the most commonly seen. First, mass media keep us well informed of the happenings of the world which would otherwise remain unknown.Second, mass media persuade us mostly through advertisements. As we can see, newspapers, magazines, and TV are filled with all kinds of colorful, persuasive advertisements which tempt us to buy their products.Third, mass media give us entertainment. Television and radio broadcasting provide us with a big variety of programmes every day. Films, books, magazines, etc. give us daily amusement. And I think when I finish my media study, I will know more deep functions of media.

Some people like to work alone while others enjoy teamwork. In my opinion, everyone had better learn to work with others together because teamwork is definitely necessary and important in modern society.Collaboration is very important for us.
First, working in a team provides a chance for us to communicate with each other. Just as the saying goes, “many hands make light job.” Working in a team, teammates share their ideas with each other, which is helpful to create a better achievement. Second, working in a team is a way to broaden our horizon. Teammates in a team can learn something from each other because they are from different places, owning various experiences and hold different views towards things. Therefore, getting along with other teammates is also a process of increasing our knowledge. Finally, working in a team is also a way to establish our friendship. Teammates in a team have chances to help each other, to solve the problems together, to share the happiness of being successful, which make a great contribution to establishing friendship. Thus, working in a team is one of the most effective ways to extend our personal relationships.
To sum up, to learn to work in a team is really necessary and important and we should try to enjoy it.

From our group work. I found there are a lot of tips should be paid attention. And it will helpful to me in final projects.
- Don’t try to do too much. Doing a little bit every day is better than burning out.
- Keep a notebook. Write down ideas or challenges you are having in the form of questions.
- Backup a lot. Keep several backups of your footage. If you find you don’t have enough space, you should at least keep a couple of backups of the best clips you are editing in the timeline.
- Create an edit suite. set aside an office space in your house for editing. This means that you can control your work/life balance and not allow this project to ruin your social life.
- Don’t overshoot, but shoot enough. In the past, many reports where edited on tape, where you edit when shooting. Practice doing a short piece. This way, it will teach you to make quick decisions on edits and shoot enough, but not go overboard. In the past, with film, people didn’t have enough money or space to shoot 200 hours of footage, so why should you? Prioritize what you film and it will make editing easy.

Tips For Post Production Of Music Video:
- Transfer your video to a computer.
- Fire up your editor.
- Use your best material. Work through the video from beginning to end, looking at all the takes, and finding the best ones.
- Lay the music track over the footage. With the track loaded in, check to see how your edits and the music sync up.
- Add a title and credits if so desired. It was once standard procedure for the song title, artist name, record label, and video director to appear in the text at the beginning and end of most videos.

Tips For Staffing The Music Video Shooting:
- Find your crew. Depending on the scale of your production, you may be able to rely solely on yourself and your actors, or you may need to create large a crew for the video.
- Find the right acting talent. Make a list of all the characters in your video.
Tips For Lights, Camera And Action:
- Set the stage.
- Set the camera. You may want to shoot part of your video on a tripod, for static scenes.
- Get your actors in place. If they’re in the scene as the camera rolls, have them take their marks. If they come into the scene as it plays, have them at their entrance point.
- Cue up the music. Have Sound locate the proper point in the song, and give it a good lead-in time so people can “get in sync” with the music.
- Have all your lighting people in position, and all powered lights on.
- The videographer presses the record button and starts shooting the scene.
- You know the drill here—on “Action!”, the actors come out and do the scene.
- Repeat for all the scenes in your video. You may end up with multiple takes, multiple angles, great takes, and awful takes. This is where the fun begins.

Communication is the activity of conveying information through the exchange of thought, messages, or information. It is a very important skill for us during the filming with people.
There are many communicating methods, such as speech, visuals, signals, writing or body languages.It plays an important role in social lives of human beings, which some people consider that it’s the basis of human existence.In short, communication is essential to all people that everyone should realize that.Therefore, we should learn how to communicate with others effectively.
Communication plays a significant role in our daily life, especially in modern society. Since we get along with other people in every field, we must learn how to communicate with people effectively.
Effective communication should be planned carefully. First, speak slowly and briefly in order to make ourselves understood completely. Second, express ourselves in all sincerity and with warmth. Third, concentrate on what the speaker says and appreciate his point of view. Moreover, we should give positive feedback by nodding or smiling while listening. Fourth, place ourselves in the place of others.
As far as I’m concerned, I communicate with other people in a positive way whether I’m in a merry mood or not. And I often express my own opinion genuinely and sincerely.

I have done lots of courses to write a blog per week. And pretty enjoyed it. As an increasing number of college students are becoming bloggers. They keep blogs to note down what happens to them, to describe their emotions and feelings, also to express opinions on current affairs.
People’s views on this phenomenon vary from person to person.Some hold that it is a good idea for students to keep a blog, as it not only provides an outlet for the students to express their inner feelings like traditional diaries but also provide a channel through which students can communicate with others.However, Others have different opinions. They point out that writing blog takes college students too much time which should b spend on their courses, and Some bloggers’ writing just for clicks and grade. This also works on every students’ mind after the same class, but show the different ideas.
Personally, as one coin has two sides, both views stated above are reasonable. In my opinion, what should we do is that we need be aware of its potential shortcomings and make full use of its advantages.
