PB3: Production
My PB3 is focusing on the Jason Yang who is the chairman of the Cheval Blanc. Cheval Blanc is a BMW car club in Melbourne. There are hundreds of members in Cheval Blanc. They are all the lovers and owners of the BMW cars. And he started the Cheval Blanc when he was at the university with his passion of the car and his hardworking. So， this essay I will focus on Jason himself, not the Cheval Blanc.
The photo essay I want to present is Jason as a young entrepreneur how he uses his hardworking and wisdom to succeed in his business. I will take several photos of while he is working and his working environment to show his passion and hardworking. Also, I will shoot some photos of his daily activity to present his personality. I will use our exercise’s mini photo essay idea which can take some environmental portrait, a close-up, and an action photo to tell a visual story about Jason doing that occupation or hobby. I will also go to an event of Cheval Blanc which may hold a few weeks later which I can shoot on that day. I think why this story is relevant, interesting and has a high news value is because it is the story of a young entrepreneur with high passion and hardworking. I think it is a great motivational story.
Feedback on PB3
- Jennifer: Jennifer create a creative theme. She’s project has a good point and clearly to see the dramatic turning point. However, some footages are not very suitable in her videos. Maybe she can cut a little bit down.
- Jialun: Jialun’s project has a creative idea, which the interview is on the train and in the restaurant. It is real natural feeling interview. However, there is no footages in the project. And the interviewer’s conversation is in Chinese in whole video, it did not make a lot of sense to audiences.
- Vicki: Vicki’s project’s theme is very clearly. However, the interviewer’s conversation is also in Chinese in whole video, it did not make a lot of sense to audiences. And all the interview is in one place is a little bit boring.
- Hazel: Hazel’s project is really nice. The video’s theme is clearly, but the dramatic turning point is not clear enough. I really love the tone of the video, bright and sunny feeling.

I love flowers very much and i also like shooting the flowers use long-lens camera, because the close-up photography can see some parts of flowers’ details that people can’t see with their eyes. It is really exciting for a photographer to share something which can not normally see in daily with other people.
Recently, l learned the photo process “image transfer”. I think it is really interesting. So i did some and put them on the wall. I really love them!!!
Week 7 – Workshop
In this week’s workshop. We all have a view of everyone’s PB3. And a lot of my classmates they did a very good work. And i learned a lot from them.
The most important thing is, we start to work on our PB4.

It’s the first time i do a goup project brief, i’m very exciting about this. My group members have a lot of ideas about the topic. While we are doing the mind map in the workshop. Thay all had a lot of things to discuss. They give me a lot of ideas about our topic. It make me feel more confidence to our project!!! It is a good start!!!
