In this week’s work, we firstly discussed the reading and video watched in lecture about craftsman mindset. In my opinion, I admitted that passion is one of most important elements which could bring someone to success. Doing every job is difficult, but if you can choose a job you like, it is more possible for you to insist doing that. For me, I’d like to do something about media like Tv shows or films. So I chose to study abroad, came to RMIT and had this subject. It’s not easy for me to finish all the reading for three courses and quickly do those video editing. However, I have the passion for media and I want to learn something, so I get the sense of achievement when I get all these works done.

Then, I started to edit my project 2 video and got some feedback from my classmates. In the video, I used 27 photos to do a stop motion video. I learned this from Foundation Study and my classmates liked this idea. Also, I adjust the speed of part of my video. When I shot the cooking scene, I wanted it to be fast forward to create a feeling that I was busy; and I showed the technique to my classmates.

Kris almost finished the editing and showed his video to us. Here is my comments:

Positive: I really like the scene when the light is pink and he threw his bracelet into the water. The colour is beautiful and looks very abstract. He also put the scene he shot in amusement park which had fantastic lights. Lights is a great element in this video and I think he can make the connection by using the change of light.

Negative: Some parts of the video are irrelevant. I think he shoots lots of videos and just puts all those in. He could choose some of those and make better connection.
