Reflection
From sunrise to nightfall to the morning of the next day, we can see the time passes by minute by minute. I think the time is the most precious and important thing for people, so, I collected different clocks in Melbourne and named <Rotation Time>. In my collection, there are all kinds of clocks, such as archaic, contemporary, dilapidated and exquisite. These clocks express the architectural characteristics of a city to the audience because they designed and decorated in buildings, streets and shopping malls. These seemingly inconspicuous ornaments coincidentally add color vitality to Melbourne. That’s what I want to tell the audience with this collection as well. In my collection, you can clearly see what the background of these clocks is, for example, a black and white clock was hung in front of the Mayer sign; nine clocks with the same appearance but different time were hung below the Flinders street station sign which means this background is in the crowded railway station; some clocks decorated on the top of ancient buildings like church. I made minor modifications to some pictures taken indoors because my unfamiliarly with the camera led to the obvious darkness of the indoor photos. So, I raised the brightness of clock of next to two soldiers and adjusted the angle of the clock in front of Mayer. From this shooting, I know I need to improve my shooting skills like adjusting my shooting angle to prevent the photos from tilting and make the frame more comfortable which means don’t let other objects occupy the center of the picture or the main object are covered up. Looking forward to the next shoot, I hope I can successfully avoid these mistakes and master the camera skills more skillfully.
