Due to the impact of the Coronavirus, I was not able to participate the first three classes in the first and second weeks. The first class which I attended on Friday on the campus, Cat discussed with me and introduced some details about the first assignment. I Started to prepare for my first assignment. I brainstormed some simple ideas in class. The three technologies I chose were “robots in the workplace”, “fridges that order for you” and “high-rise farm”. My ideas revolves around a theme, which is ‘working at home’. Because of the time and space limitations, I find it hard to finish my ideal goals of shooting in my apartment. I have no way to restore the office and farm scenes. While trying to shoot at home, I had some new ideas. Focusing on the theme of ‘work at home’, I decided to abandon my first three technologies. I planed some new ideas of choosing VR, AR, and Tactile VR technologies instead. I want to use the combination of these three technologies to enable people to ‘feel’ the office environment at home and enjoy unlimited communication and interactions with colleagues without literally standing face to face.

So that is what I planed to show in my video which the technologies enable people to work at home and I named it ‘Eye-R’.
