In the final workshop, we sat in a circle with another group and briefly introduced our topic, then we presented our rough cut of PB4 to two professional media makers who are the hosts today. My lovely group member Nadiah edited about two minutes as the beginning of the audio, which is a really good start.
The feedback from the host was very useful and valuable. He also provided us some suggestions:
–The sound effect like typing keyboard and turning pages which is good and the sound of whoosh is an easy way to transit from one part to another part.
–The volume of our voices are not balanced and sounds like up and downs( loud somewhere , too soft somewhere)
Actually, I edited about two more minutes, but unfortunately, the host did not have too much time listening the rest of part of our rough cut. However, I have a concern that was our group did a street interview about “clickbait” so that the majority of our audio piece consists of talking. Therefore, I am worrying whether it will be a little bit bored and audiences do not have interest in it. We planned to cut down some of it and add more effects & nature sounds to make the audio to be interesting. In addition, we want to take out some answers from interviewees and try to combine them together, making it like a whole story instead of playing their answers unsmoothed.
Thanks for the hosts’ feedbacks and our group will try to figure it out in more creative ways. There is only one week left until the due day, I hope we can finally get an expected result.
